You will only be wasting your money if you buy a star from one of the many companies out there that claim to sell them. You will find a statement that unequivocally states that no one in the world has the ability to sell or buy a star if you visit the International Astronomical Union’s website. I was a bit disappointed to read this because the idea of buying a star seems so wonderful. However, I consider it my duty to warn potential customers of this fraud that is common on the Internet.
